Ginetta G40 Junior

Constructed from: 2010, the cars have Ford Zetec engines of 1.80l, producing 100 bhp.

Compete in the Ginetta Junior Championship

The G40 Junior displaced the G20 Junior cars in 2010. Appreciated by entrants for having a consistently accurate base car, the cars ran the same engines as other racing G40's (also referred to as a GT-5 class), but with different (lower) power outputs. Some G40 Junior cars were subsequently re-configured to race in the 'big' class if the driver/team wanted to continue to race in G40's.

The G40 Junior Championship leftdeparted from supporting the BTCC package in 2023, transferring to the British GT fold. It is widely accepted that there is a much greater opportunity for career advancement in the GT/Sports car field than in single-make hot hatches or saloon cars.
