The Ginetta Owners' Club Speed Championship was
launched in 1994 to bring owners together to contend a motor sport
championship specifically for Ginetta cars. In the UK speed is a broad
term to describe a type of racing where cars start separately at
intervals and race against the clock, a biker would call this type of
event a time trial or simply TT.
Two distinct disciplines come under the general term
'speed', hillclimbs and sprints. Hill climbs are held on twisty sealed
surface hill side roads, sprints run on race circuits and airfields.
